Texas couple Sam and Nia regularly post videos about marriage and parenting to their YouTube channel. Then on Saturday, the couple posted the video above to announce their devastating news.

Vloggers Sam and Nia posted the video of the unique announcement Wednesday, and the Internet is eating it up.
“We were just so overjoyed… it was like a huge celebration and then it just – bam – it just hit us like a bomb”, Nia said tearfully, as Sam sat with his face in his palms. He explains in the video that Nia thought she might be pregnant, so he worked out his plan to surprise her before she had time to take a test. He snuck a sample of her urine onto a pregnancy test and could hardly believe his eyes when the test showed two little lines signifying a positive result.
Nia continued, as she revealed that she had miscarried, “Those of you who have experience miscarriage before, I can relate now”.
“I feel like also through this tragedy we have become closer as a family, Ni and I mourning like this has made us stronger”, Sam says towards the end of the clip.
The pair, who strive to “live for God” according to their Facebook page, revealed they are relying on their deep faith to carry them through this hard time. ‘I stood up, and I just felt empty. “The bible says to weep with those who weep, and mourn with those who mourn”. “We’re obviously going to continue and try to grow our family”. We told her the baby has ‘Gone to Jesus, ‘ ” says Nia, adding that their younger child is almost 2 and wasn’t really aware of the situation. Their video flipped the script on traditional announcements, where the woman tells the man he’s going to be a dad. It’s something that needs to be talked about and something that requires support from friends and family.
