Basically all you’d need is graph paper, a CD case, tape, pen, scissors, a knife/glass cutter, and your smartphone.

The tutorial video Turn Your Phone into a 3D Hologram has been viewed a quarter of a million times since being uploaded yesterday.
The video shows how the user created the a rhombus template on graph paper and used the shape to create four identical pieces of plastic from the CD case.
You still need a video made specifically for hologram creation, which you can get here. All you have to do is construct a pyramid-shaped device that will refract specially-designed videos up off of your phone screen and onto the sides of the prism, which will give the illusion of an image floating inside. Yup, you read that right, that’s all it takes for you to have a holographic display for your smartphone.
Upload a hologram-specific YouTube video, turn off all the lights and enjoy your very own homemade 3d light show.
