Prieto said police arrived at the scene and found the suspect inside a barber shop.
A patron attending the Art Basel festival in Miami Beach on Friday night was attacked by another guest, who was wielding an X-Acto knife, according to the Miami Herald. “He was challenged by the officers in the street and at some point, during that confrontation, he did raise his hand with a straight edge razor in it, and he was shot”.
The posting shows a shirtless man stepping toward some police officers, eventually putting his hand on a police cruiser.

“Shots were fired and the subject is deceased”, she said.
The Miami-Dade County Police are investigating the shooting and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Miami Beach Police are investigating the bank robbery, officials said. The FBI and Miami Beach Police Department will be investigating the bank robbery.
A video of a shooting on Miami Beach was posted on Instagram and elsewhere on social media.
Police Chief Daniel Oates said one officer on the scene was wearing a body camera that also captured the deadly encounter, but that the video can not be released to the public yet under state law.
Art Basel Miami Beach spokeswoman Sara Fitzmaurice said in an email to The Associated Press Friday, ‘The attack was an isolated incident that was immediately secured.
“From what I saw, he just didn’t want to cooperate”, Johnson said. A scream can be heard.
“He came outside and was basically yelling gestures out to the police officers”, he said.
It’s not known why an officer with an assault weapon drawn and aimed would feel his life was in danger, or why an officer would approach so closely if their lives were in danger from a blade.
Johnson said the man was yelling at the officers and making gestures at them.
