Video Shows Panthers Fan Choked by Security Guard at Cowboys Game
It’s unclear what led to the confrontation between the fan and the security guard, but no matter what the fan did to draw the attention of security, that chokehold is more than a little over line.

The featured video was taken this past Thursday during the Dallas Cowboys vs. Carolina Panthers game. Hines called the security guard’s behavior disruptive.
The incident was between the guard and a Carolina fan during the game, won by the Panthers. On his way up the stands, one Cowboys fan reaches into the aisle and shoves Small and flips him off.
The Arlington police contacted Smalls Monday and said they are investigating.
“They would not tell me who filed a complaint or what it was… they just told me I had to leave”, Small said. They would not tell me anything specific and said they would not ask me to leave again.
In the video, the loud screams you hear, that’s John Small’s mother.
“At that point in time, I was walking up the steps in the aisle and got shoved in the back by one of the security guards”, Small said. I would like to thank David Ward for his post and I would also like to thank the gentleman in the Chicago Bears jersey who freed me from the chokehold and would very much like for him to contact me as well.

The Arlington Police Department hasn’t released any information about the investigation or provided a timetable for when it will decide whether to bring charges in the case. Arlington police told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth that they are still in the process of completing a report. A police report was not available. Before the Thanksgiving Day game, Arlington police had made 30 arrests at AT&T Stadium this year, compared with 106 in 2014 and 54 in 2013.
