Vikings GM: Entire organization behind Shaun Hill as QB

Ever since the injury to Teddy Bridgewater, there has been a great deal of speculation as to what the Minnesota Vikings are going to do with their quarterback situation.

Just like that, the Minnesota Vikings season goes down the drain, and maybe the future of this franchise is thrown into confusion, as Teddy Bridgewater tears his ACL and suffers from serious knee damage.

The Minnesota Vikings’ third-year signal caller suffered a disclocated left knee and a completely torn ACL. Houston, who must sit out the first six games, led the league with 22 sacks in 2014 before a knee injury limited him to just 11 games the following year.

Left guard Alex Boone also was nearby when Bridgewater suffered the injury. But the team did say he had no nerve or arterial damage and it expects a full recovery after a “significant” rehabilitation.

Spielman said Bridgewater and his inner circle should choose a surgeon to do his surgery sometime in the next day or two.

Bridgewater delivered a hand-written statement to the Vikings, who distributed his thanks to the entire organization, praise for Sugarman and his staff and appreciation for the well wishes from fans.

“I think the gold jacket put the seal on that one”, he said.

Given the timing and the severity of the injury, Bridgewater could have trouble returning to full strength for the 2017 season.

“It feels good to see his face and see him smiling and to be able to look in his eyes and see that his mind is in the right place after such a traumatic injury”, Peterson said.

Cornerback Captain Munnerlyn was in a group of about seven players who went to the hospital where Bridgewater was taken by ambulance so they could visit their teammate. Teddy’s a great kid, and he’ll be back as soon as he possy can, if it is real bad. It’s probably a mixture of the pain in his knee and thr fact that his 2016 season has come to an end, before it even got started.

“This would just start out the year the way that we have been in the last couple of years just bad luck keeps on rolling with us”, Noble said. After missing a preseason game August 18 at Seattle because of an apparent sore shoulder, he came back last Sunday to complete 12 of 16 passes for 161 yards and a touchdown in a 23-10 exhibition win over San Diego.
