Vikings have shown more good than bad, but fixes remain
Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said there are no moral victories for his team, but following a slow start Sunday in Denver, the Vikings are optimistic about their play moving forward beyond the bye week. A member of the Super Bowl XLVI Champion Giants, said he’s encouraged about the Vikings (2-2) after the first quarter of regular season games.

“The thing that I love about the football team is I think it has the belief that it’s going to find a way”, Kubiak said.
“Put that on me”, Peterson said.
“We didn’t get the win, but I’m going to say it 1,000 times: ‘I’m really proud of my teammates, ‘” said Mike Wallace, one of three wide receivers who had six or more catches and 70-plus yards. The last team we played was 23-2 or something at home over the last two years. “At a few point in time, we’re going to get over the hump”. “I think we have a chance to be a good team”. “There’s still a lot of football left”. They turned two Manning interceptions into 10 points, including a game-tying field goal with 5:11 left.
Peterson did get a 48-yard touchdown run on fourth-and-inches to pull Minnesota to 20-17 with 10 minutes left.
“No”, safety Harrison Smith said. “But as long as we build and continue to get better, there’s a lot of football to be played”.
As colorful a description that is of Joseph, Zimmer doesn’t want defenders to feel like they have to make spectacular plays. QB Teddy Bridgewater hung in with poise and somehow posted a 92.4 passer rating with a touchdown and no interceptions. He credited a lot of success to his offensive line, which played with more physicality in the second half.
– Cornerback Bradley Roby returned a fumble for a 21-yard TD with 27 seconds left at Kansas City to give Denver a 31-24 win over the Chiefs. The Broncos are the only team that hasn’t been scored on in the first quarter.
“But other than that, he did a good job in all of his protections”.
Before that run, Peterson had 14 carries for 34 yards. LB Anthony Barr and FS Harrison Smith picked off Peyton Manning…. So will Atlanta, Arizona and Green Bay during the second half of the schedule, given the track those teams are on. Well, winning a game on the road against a quality opponent. He completed two passes for 28 of the 55 yards to move the Broncos into position. This is the National Football League and we’re playing tough teams every week. Mid-range attempts are causing Walsh to press too much.
One player who seems to have it down is Joseph, who had three tackles, one for loss, and a pass deflection against Denver. Punter Jeff Locke had a strong game with a 43.0 net, three punts inside the 20 and a long of 54 yards. “He needs to make those kicks.”… His 14-yard return to the 10-yard line was made even worse by an illegal block that pushed the Vikings back to their 5.
But the Vikings head coach said his defense didn’t properly run the play, either. He went for it on fourth-and-1 in his own territory and converted.

Granted, Bridgewater was sacked seven times by Denver’s stalwart defense, including twice by Ward.
