Vikings QB Bridgewater goes down in practice with injury
Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater’s season may be done after an injury occurred earlier today in practice, reports say that while in the pocket during a non-contact play he fell and was grabbing at his knee and all players were down on one knee praying for their quarter back.

Bridgewater dropped back to pass during a drill, planted his foot and immediately went down.
Zimmer said the ambulance was called at the behest of the Vikings’ head trainer.
The Vikings released the following statement on Bridgewater’s injury, via the Vikings’ team website. Now the starting quarterback job will fall in the hands of 36-year-old Shaun Hill.
GIANTS: New York finally made a move on to shore up an offensive line that has performed poorly in three preseason games, re-signing veteran Will Beatty, who was cut in February. We’re not going to put our heads in the sand.
Some Vikings players were so angry they were literally screaming mad walking off the field, or threw their helmets in frustration.
Bridgewater is entering his third season in the National Football League and the Vikings were counting on him to take some major steps forward after a promising start to his career.
“Our No. 1 concern is the welfare for our players”, Zimmer said.
Still, Zimmer vowed that his team will find ways to win games. “We’re going to fight like we always do”. The Vikings are awaiting test results before determining how long they could be without Bridgewater. “And if it’s real bad, we’re going to keep fighting”. “Everybody can count us out if they want, but I think that’d be the wrong thing to do”.
The Vikings third-year quarterback helped led Minnesota to their first NFC North division title since 2009 last season, and was a big reason the Vikings were considered postseason contenders in the NFC.
Bridgewater missed the second preseason game with a sore shoulder, but was very sharp Sunday against San Diego. “This isn’t a one-man deal”, Zimmer said.
Zimmer said he talked with the quarterback as he was taken from the field, and said he’s spoken to Bridgewater’s mother, “just try to update her on what’s going on the best we can”.
“I’m not going to let this team feel sorry for itself”, Zimmer said. We all feel awful if it is significant, real significant for Teddy. Zimmer said, his thoughts turning personal. The thing we have to remember is this is about a team.

“We have guys like Everson Griffen and Harrison Smith and Brian Robison and Anthony Barr and Kyle Rudolph and Adrian Peterson and Matt Kalil, (Joe) Berger, and Fusco, Andre Smith“, he said.
