Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater has no doubt he will play Sunday

The Vikings kept their first-team offense in for most of the first half on Thursday night in Seattle, sitting Bridgewater because of what Zimmer called a coach’s decision and holding out Adrian Peterson, who hasn’t played the preseason since 2013 and hasn’t recorded a carry since 2011.

Multiple questions to Bridgewaterabout his shoulder were deferred to Zimmer, including whether or not the issue arose before last week’s trip to Seattle, if he has any physical limitations as well as what the discussions are like between he and Zimmer regarding his health.

He returned to practice Tuesday and has his sights set on Sunday’s exhibition against San Diego, the first game at U.S. Bank Stadium.

“Of course”, the Vikings quarterback said Wednesday.

After that, Bridgewater was uninterested in giving any more information, and it was clear that the Vikings had planned to have Bridgewater side-step injury questions.

Can you do everything you need to do physically?

But the third-year quarterback believes he has gotten enough practice time in this preseason to be ready for the regular season if he ends up playing in just two preseason games (the opener and third preseason game).

Asked before Wednesday’s practice if he might roll out the deep ball, Bridgewater said, “You stick around and you may be able to see”. “But every time I go out there, whether it’s in the meeting room, practice field or in the game, I’m taking something away from it”.

If Bridgewater does play, he might actually be joined by the Vikings’ star attraction, running back Adrian Peterson. It’s another opportunity to get better, gain more knowledge.
