Vikings RB Peterson tears meniscus in knee

Late Sunday night, after Rodgers was central to Green Bay’s inept performance on offense in its 17-14 loss at the Minnesota Vikings, the veteran quarterback tried to calm the early-season concerns out of Packers Nation. The Vikings didn’t just try to sack Rodgers, they were going for the strip of the ball and it worked. On the ground Adrian Peterson rushed for 19 yards in 12 attempts while Matt Asiata added 14 yards in six carries. Green Bay forced a three and out and a punt, and the Packers offense took over at its own 9-yard line with 4:38 to go. It would be hard to say either him or Lacy had worked up the kind of lather that sometimes allows a back to get a first down when there isn’t a hole. “[It] was a pretty heady play”.

OL, play calling, AP himself, or a combination of all of the above, Peterson hasn’t done much for us.

Matthews hit Bradford’s left, non-throwing hand, into the quarterback’s chest after the pass was thrown.

With Peterson on the shelf, expect Jerick McKinnon to get more reps. Indeed, he appeared to be readier than ever, as the Vikings hosted the Packers at the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. They may struggle until the offensive line improves, but the combo’s proven production means the sky isn’t completely falling in Minnesota. Citing their previous success in place of Peterson, Zimmer said he has “a lot of confidence” in McKinnon and Asiata.

“I feel like we had a good call”.

“How we want to play is a focus that we need to do a better job of moving forward”, McCarthy said.

“I don’t think we’re that far off”, he added, saying about the would-be overreaction, “I don’t think this is anything to get super insane about”.

They were excited! Let the fans be excited, at least until Adrian Peterson’s leg falls off and Bradford goes back to being crap and Diggs falls into a manhole and Blair misses a big kick, you know it’s coming. “They got after us up front”.

“Even if the plan is for surgery, there are times when an athlete can return to sport and surgery can be delayed until the end of the season”, said Nelson.

“We do have a plan in place”, Bennett said. “So we’re going to trust the process and believe we can get this thing turned around”.
