Vikings’ running back Adrian Peterson records career touchdown No. 100 against

Four starters on defense missed last week’s game against the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday Night Football. A Seattle Seahawks loss at the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday would give the Cards their first NFC West division championship since 2009.

“He’s still got the spin move”, Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer told the NFL Network. “It is amusing because I spun three times on that series”. “The first one, he blocked me, so I said no one will ever expect another one“.

The victory was the second in five days for the Cardinals, who beat the Rams 27-3 in St. Louis on Sunday.

The Cardinals are now 25-1 under coach Bruce Arians when they out-rush their opponents.

The lawmakers repeatedly spoofed Senate etiquette, which dictates how colleagues address each other, by obsequiously referring to each other throughout the skit as “my good friend” and “my very close friend”, even joking about their vacations together.

“If I knew that was going to happen I probably would have done something different”, Zimmer said.

Teddy Bridgewater goes for the win. (Forget the “Legion of Boom”, I’ll take Tyrann “The Honeybadger” Mathieu and Patrick Peterson any day.) This is a complete team. “That last play of the game, (Freeney) called a ply, a stunt for us to do because he knew it was going to work, and he made a huge play”, said teammate Calais Campbell. We came out focused.

You could see that Thursday, as the two star wide receivers had great games and teamed up for a touchdown.

He was held to 23 carries for 69 yards in the contest, although that didn’t change how safety Tyrann Mathieu viewed him after the game.

Look at the numbers: Offensive yards per game, Arizona is averaging 417.5, best in the league.

Besides the Bridgewater fumble, the most egregious turnover came on an attempted reverse where Peterson left the ball exposed, allowing Arizona defensive lineman Josh Mauro to dislodge it.

Peterson failed to hit 100 yards against this stiff Cardinals run defense but he did find his way into the end zone for his 100 career touchdown. Arizona receivers Michael Floyd (17.70) and John Brown (15.20) crushed Minnesota’s top receiving targets, WR Mike Wallace (10.50) and TE Kyle Rudolph (7.30).

After ruling out his two starting safeties, Harrison Smith and Andrew Sendejo, and putting another, Antone Exum, on injured reserve Tuesday, coach Mike Zimmer moved veteran corner Terence Newman to Smith’s free safety spot, where he played along undrafted rookie Anthony Harris.

“It’s not good enough, clearly, but I think it’s a step back to where we want to be”, linebacker Chad Greenway said. So I lied, OK?

The Arizona Cardinals are a legitimate contender to advance far into the NFC playoffs and perhaps reach the Super Bowl. Of the 11 incompletions, five were thrown purposefully out of bounds, one was batted down at the line of scrimmage and one was an intentional stoppage of the clock.
