The Minnesota Vikings ended the Green Bay Packers’ four-year run as NFC North champions by toppling the Green Bay Packers 20-13 Sunday night at Lambeau Field.

Gun sales surged after the San Bernardino killings, but Rhodes said arming citizens is a “dangerous and slippery slope”. Federally licensed gun sellers by law have to seek criminal background checks before finalising a sale.

The Vikings (11-5) won a third consecutive game to earn the third seed in the NFC play-offs and they will host the sixth-seeded Seattle Seahawks (10-6) next weekend.

Powerball drawing on Wednesday worth 0 million
There have now been 14 drawings held since a player in Westerville, Ohio, won a 0 million top prize November 13. One of those tickets was sold in Pennsylvania, but lottery officials have not said where it was sold.

After a Mason Crosby field goal cut the lead to just a TD, the Vikings’ explosive kick returner Corrdarrelle Patterson returned the ensuing kickoff 71 yards until Crosby himself made an unlikely play, stripping Patterson and giving Green Bay hope. Later in the third quarter, the Vikings forced an Aaron Rodgers fumble which they returned for the game-deciding points.

For the Packers, Aaron Rodgers completed 28-of-44 passes for 291 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.

Teddy Bridgewater was just 10 of 19 for 99 yards, and the passing game was rendered largely ineffective.

The Packers, who finished 10-6 and in second place in the NFC North, are a model of National Football League stability and gave Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan his start as a scout in the 1990s.

NO. 6 SEED: Only two No. 6 seeds have won the Super Bowl, the 2005 Pittsburgh Steelers (over Seattle) and the 2010 Green Bay Packers.

One school of thought said the Packers would struggle to beat the NFC North Division rivals from Minnesota three times in one year, so they should tank the finale and willingly go to Washington, where the Redskins are the best of a bad NFC East Division bunch with a 9-7 record. Peterson then had to fight through angry tackling attempts by Packers free safety HA HA CLINTON-DIX and cornerback DAMARIOUS RANDALL just to get into the end zone. The Vikings could have a favorable matchup, because Green Bay’s passing game has not been reliable this year. With Zimmer calling the defensive plays, the Vikings aimed to test Green Bay’s protection as they moved left guard Josh Sitton to left tackle, replacing the injured and inactive David Bakhtiari. He overthrew McKinnon for a sure touchdown on first series of the game, he fumbled a handoff (that was recovered) and he threw the most inexplicable pass of his career-a left-handed pass while being sacked that floated far short of any intended receiver but landed in the hands of Packer corner Micah Hyde. But as good as Peterson is, the Vikings’ identity heading into the playoffs centers around a defense that rescued the offense and special teams throughout the second half at Lambeau Field.

The Vikings are a miserable 1-10-1 against the Packers in the last six years.

The Vikings got a scare in the fourth quarter when Peterson left with a lower back injury. Green Bay mounted a late comeback and was driving twice with an opportunity to tie the game, but it was too little too late. Before those two games, they lost 23-20 at Arizona, the same team that blew out the Packers last weekend, 38-8.

Eagles 35, Giants 30: Former Giant Walter Thurmond scored on an 83-yard fumble return in the third quarter to boost Philadelphia, and NY finished a third straight losing season. DE Everson Griffen had 2.0 sacks, Johnson and Smith split one and Anthony Barr also got in on the action. However, the Vikings will enter the playoffs having won three in a row while allowing only 47 points in those games. Under pressure, Rodgers was intercepted in the end zone by Xavier Rhodes.

New Orleans 20, Atlanta 17: Jamarca Sanford’s interception with less than 2 minutes remaining set up Kai Forbath’s 30-yard field goal as time expired for the visiting Saints (7-9).

Minnesota (10-5) would love nothing more than to win the division even though the victor of this game won’t get a bye week. “But we’ve got to find a way to put it all together for four quarters”. But Crosby hustled to cover on the play and stripped the ball. Lacy was the leading rusher with 34 yards on 13 carries, an average of 2.6.
