Traore has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League over the last few weeks, with the likes of Stoke City, Aston Villa, Everton and Liverpool all tipped to swoop in for him.
Now that Villa are without Benteke up front Tim Sherwood will need all of his players to chip in and the addition of a pacey winger such as Traoré could add to his side’s creativity.
Traore has penned a three-year deal with the option for a fourth, and it’s thought Villa are paying about £4.2million for his services.
Traore was signed up by the Catalan club as an 8-year-old in 2004 and is already highly rated having impressed in Barca’s B team as well as scoring one goal in four appearances for the senior side.
Barcelona were happy for Adama to leave if his buy-out clause was met and now he is set to ply his trade in England.
