Villagers with roots in Balochistan vow to stand against Pak’s atrocities

The Indian nationals having roots in Balochistan plan to stage a protest in front of the Pakistan Embassy in New Delhi against the atrocities on the people in that country. Prominent leaders of the community have raised their voices after Prime Minister Modi spoke about the plight of the Baloch residents during his Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort. The villagers will be fighting for the rights of the Baloch people and their freedom from Pakistan oppression. The protestors accused Pakistani forces of killing around 5,000 over the past few years and causing almost 20, 000 forced disappearances in Balochistan. In the same vein, they also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for extending support to the people of Balochistan.

The FBM has pointed out that the United Nations has a history of interventions in favour of separatist movements, such as Kosovo, East Timor and South Sudan.

The US respects the unity and territorial integrity of Pakistan and does not support independence for Balochistan, a state department official has said. They told us that they need assistance against the injustice taking place in Balochistan.

FBM also wants the United Nations to take notice of “state-sponsored terrorism” in Balochistan, and send a fact-finding mission to investigate the “Pakistani state’s aggression against Balochs”, Faiz said. “We have been organising protests in London, America, Geneva, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Germany for a long time but there was no media coverage for our activities”.
