Villain of the EPL Matchday 10 – Chelsea FC

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has mocked Chelsea following his side’s 2-1 win over the Premier League champions earlier today.

On Friday Mourinho said his relationship with the media would change after phone camera footage of him walking around in west London was published – and the very next day he dodged the usual post-match press conferences.

West Ham sit third going into Saturday’s trip to Watford, the Hammers and Leicester City are the only teams to have scored in every Premier League game so far, but are they in a false position?

United finished top of the table by 11 points under Sir Alex Ferguson in 2012/13, but Louis van Gaal’s predecessor Moyes only lasted ten months as the Red Devils slipped down to seventh in the following season.

Carlo Ancelotti has backed Jose Mourinho, to sort out the mess at Chelsea and tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season.

“In the first half the Cesc Fabregas goal could have been given and we had the goal that was almost over the line”.

“Andy is a big player for us, and also for England”, Bilic said.

Gary Cahill briefly drew Chelsea level with a close-range shot in the 56th minute after referee Jon Moss had ordered Mourinho to the stands when the outspoken Portuguese had approached him at halftime.

Mourinho watched most of the second half from the directors’ box at Upton Park, but disappeared shortly after Carroll headed home West Ham’s victor. The stadium ban will come into force if he breaches FA rule E3 – which obliges managers to “act in the best interests of the game” and “not act in any manner which is improper or brings the game into disrepute” – before October 16 next year.

Mourinho’s side will face Stoke City in the Capital One Cup clash, before hosting Liverpool in the league tie.

And West Ham earned another superb win under Slaven Bilic through striker Carroll, who rose highest to nod home Aaron Cresswell’s left-wing cross for his first goal since January.

There was defeat for another under pressure manager at Villa Park, where a late goal from Swansea secured a 2-1 away triumph.

“He [Mourinho] waited to confront the referee at half-time, whatever he’s said or done the referees taken umbrage to, whether he’s used insulting, abusive or offensive language I don’t know”, said Gallagher.
