The people love “Furious 7” and Vin Diesel, so it’s no surprise that both won Favourite Movie and Favourite Action Movie at last night’s People’s Choice Awards.

Diesel began by thanking his producing partner and Universal Studios for believing in his vision, then even though he said he promised himself it wouldn’t get emotional, he can’t help but choke up when remembering Paul Walker.
Vin Diesel is one of the buffest action stars in the industry, but as we know by now, he’s really just a mushy teddy bear on the inside. Diesel recalled how the cast – which includes Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Dwayne Johnson and Ludacris, among others – was initially stunned by Walker’s sudden death and didn’t know whether they should continue with the series, but “love” ultimately made them a stronger team.

He then launched into the opening lines of Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again – the theme song for the movie. “My exclusively message to you is, you’d be amazed what you would do with love. You would be amazed with what a powerful force that is”. “And now I am standing here with all of you telling me this was your favorite film of the year”, he added.
