Vince Young, former Texas quarterback, busted for DWI

TMZ reports that the arrest took place in Austin, Texas this morning, and as of the time of this writing, the former Texas Longhorn star is now still in lock-up.

Young, 32, was booked into the Travis County Jail at 12:46 a.m. Monday on the misdemeanor charge, according to online records, and his bail was set at $2,000.

Officers state in the arrest affidavit that Young was observed drifting across lanes of traffic at speeds of 40 to 60 miles per hour, failing to use his turn signal.

The arresting officer wrote in an arrest affidavit that Young smelled strongly of alcohol.

Young last played in an National Football League game in 2011, starting three games for the Philadelphia Eagles. According to police, Young remained at the light a little under 10 seconds before going.

He went on to join the pre-season rosters for the Bills and Packers before ending up with the Browns.

He now works as a fundraiser and community liaison in the University of Texas athletics department.
