Officers state in the arrest affidavit that Young was observed drifting across lanes of traffic at speeds of 40 to 60 miles per hour, failing to use his turn signal.
The arresting officer wrote in an arrest affidavit that Young smelled strongly of alcohol.
Young last played in an National Football League game in 2011, starting three games for the Philadelphia Eagles. According to police, Young remained at the light a little under 10 seconds before going.
