‘Vinyl” is about a record company owner Richie Finestra, and how his incessant ~rock “n” roll lifestyle~ is unfortunately getting in the way of actually making rock “n’ roll. Byrne (The Wolf of Wall Street, frightful Bosses), J.C. MacKenzie (The Departed, The Wolf of Wall Street), Birgitte Hjort Sørensen (Automata, Pitch flawless 2), Juno Temple (The Dark Knight Rises, The Brass Teapot), Jack Quaid (The Hunger Games, Just Before I Go), James Jagger (Stealing Summers, Mr. Nice) and Paul Ben-Victor (Don Jon, Allegiance).
Scorsese, Jagger and Terence Winter are heading HBO’s next big-scale project, shaped as a ’70s Wolf of Wall Street style film set in the sleaze and grandeur of the music industry instead of the financial district.
The song from the second trailer, No Good, is a distorted vintage rocker recorded by up-and-coming Icelandic rock band Kaleo.
