AAP MP left the venue in a huff after he was reportedly asked to come down the stage.

The Aam Aadmi Party Sangrur MP, Bhagwant Mann, apparently attended the “bhog” ceremony of two men killed in police firing in Punjab in a drunken state.

“I feel Mann should not be allowed to share any panthic stage in future and he should apologise to the whole of Punjab for this shameful act”, Jagtar Singh, the former granthi of Darbar Sahib, Amritsar was quoted as saying in a Indian Express report.

During a protest, the two men were killed in police firing against the alleged desecration of the Guru Granth Sahib when it was discovered that at least 100 pages Sikhs holy books were found on October 11 strewn near a gurdwara in Bargari in Faridkot district.

He said that it was now an open secret that Bhagwant Mann went and sat there on the stage near Guru Granth Sahib while he was drunk.

“On one side, the AAP has been giving statements with immediate political gains in mind, on the other hand, one of its alcoholic stars is found indulging in disrespect to the community”, said Abhiyaan leaders. “Mann’s problem of alcoholism was well known to AAP PAC”.

“A bunch of illogical rumours are being spread about AAP MP from Sangrur, Punjab – Bhagwant Mann”.

Abhiyan leader Bhushan was present in the ceremony. “It’s his habit. Arvind Kejriwal said Mann was drunk in Lok Sabha”, Mr Yadav commented. “Swaraj Abhiyan demands that the Badals immediately resign or be sacked and fresh elections called”, said Punjab leader of the Abhiyan professor Manjit Singh.
