Virginia Launches Online Portal to Help ITT Tech Students

They join about 200 others who, beginning a year ago, launched a “debt strike” after the Education Department’s bailout of Corinthian Colleges Inc.

Fortune Magazine, citing a source familiar with the situation, also reported that the for-profit school was preparing to file for bankruptcy.

After former students at Corinthian College declared a debt strike, many students did have their federal student loan debt forgiven.

“We must ensure the students affected by ITT’s closure don’t lose their resolve to earn a postsecondary education”, Lubbers said. Plans are in the works so ITT students will have the option to enroll in this mini-mester. “We are more powerful together”.
