“This was being recorded by Adam Ward; Bryce turned his attention to him and said something about paparazzi, told Adam he needed to “lose your big gut”, and again flipped the camera off”, the memo notes, according to WBAL.

Dennison knew both Parker and Ward.

“But the surgeon told me that a couple of centimetres and she wouldn’t be walking, and a couple of centimetres and she wouldn’t be alive”, Mr Gardner said.

In an interview with ABC News, he described how his wife got up and walked to an ambulance after she had been shot unaware of the extent of her injuries. In addition, Deon Guillory, the black producer who trained Parker while she was an intern at WDBJ, gave several interviews this week in which he praised her.

Flanagan was already fired from his job at the station by the time Parker was hired.

Hurst told CBS that Flanagan’s discrimination claims against WDBJ7 were unfounded: “We need to figure out if there’s anything that can be done in the future to help these people who want to harbor hate in their heart”.

“We are heartbroken at the loss of Adam Ward and Alison Parker, two shining stars in our region”.

Vester Lee Flanagan, 41, worked as a reporter for WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia from March 2012 to February 2013, but was dismissed for poor performance and angry behavior, general manager Jeffrey Marks said.

Morning anchor Kim McBroom started Friday’s broadcast by telling viewers, “another tough morning for us, but we’re soldiering on”.

On Thursday, WDBJ staff stood together outside the Roanoke station. “This tragedy has struck a chord internationally, and each time something that this happens, it’s a news event…but I think it’s different this time”. He died at approximately 1:30 p.m. ET from self-inflicted gunshot wounds.
