A Virginia TV station held a moment of silence in remembrance of a reporter and photographer murdered during a live broadcast previous year.

The shooting and the events that followed shocked the nation, especially the TV news community.

It’s the first anniversary of the killing of Adam Ward, 27, and Alison Parker, 24, who worked for WDBJ7. They ask for people to do something nice, because “the little things you do in life do make a difference”. Flanagan killed himself as police pursued him and Gardner lived to tell about the horrifying attack.

Mr. Parker called Rep. Goodlatte a “coward” who “should join the treasonous Republican leadership in acquiring a new wardrobe – orange jumpsuits”.

A photo gallery and video shows the two young journalists having fun with family and friends and also doing reporting for the station.

A year later, Andy Parker says in his searing op-ed piece that ‘the NRA still controls too many politicians. “The NRA, however, continues spouting the myth that Hillary Clinton and other political leaders advocating gun sense want to abolish the Second Amendment”.

“There’s been some healing, but there will never be complete healing”, anchor Kimberly McBroom said.

The gunman approached Ward from behind during the live shot, and then shot and killed both Ward and Parker.
