It was the first day of full-fledged service launch by Reliance Jio and customers were seen standing in queues to get SIM cards, which sadly were not available in numerous stores in Delhi. Further, the new tariff war is expected to force other telecom operators to slash their charges as well as plans offered by Reliance Jio will be available at on 1/10th the prices offered by the incumbent telecom operators, said Mayank Bhangadia, co-foucnder and CEO Roposo.

Reliance Jio 4G plans: Rjio has unveiled as many as 10 tariff plans that start with even a 1-day data plan that costs Rs 19 – remember, calls are free and users have to pay for data alone.
The company also asked the incumbents to provide mobile number portability facility to Jio – which allows a customer to migrate from one subscriber to another, while retaining the existing telephone number – now that commercial services have been announced.

Despite being touted as the best offer yet for Indians in the telecom history, there are some points that you should know about the Jio Welcome Offer.
“With only 2 packages priced under Rs 500, which are likely to accommodate maximum number of users, we expect incumbents to offer multiple packages in this band to target different set of users to minimise churn”, it added.

Once ported, the Jio SIM should be activated, and remember you can not use MNP to go back to your earlier operator or someone else for at least 90 days.
Ambani mentioned that it will have digital e-KYC activation so the SIM card can be activated instantly.

Jio’s services will be free until the end of 2016 to kick-start its customer acquisition strategy.
