Vodafone’s 4G service in Delhi and NCR is built on a fibre backhaul, and is supported by its 3G services. Vodafone said that the 4G services will be rolled out across Delhi NCR in phases in the upcoming months. The company is offering free upgrade to 4G for customers along with high speed 4G SIM.

The rollout will be completed across all parts of Delhi and NCR in a phased manner, the company statement said, adding that the launch in Delhi and NCR follows the launch of Vodafone’s 4G services in Kerala, Karnataka and Kolkata.

Vodafone has launched a few 4G plans such as a trial pack of 35MB for Rs 11, and 20GB for Rs 2,499.

Vodafone is offering free upgrade to 4G for existing consumers, along with a free 4G-SIM, and three months of access to free TV, Movies and Music on Vodafone Play as part of the 4G subscription. We want them to be 4G-ready so that they can start experiencing the benefits of high speed mobile internet services as soon as they are launched commercially.

After the successful SIMEX, users need to turn on Mobile Data and then enter www in Access Point Name, in the Network settings of their smartphone. One can also get HOOQ, premium video-on-demand service with over 35,000 hours of Hollywood blockbusters and popular local programs and Hungama Play, leading entertainment destination with over 6,000 movie titles. The operator has launched a 4G Mobile Wi-Fi dongle that supports connectivity for up to 10 devices. 4G customers can also use 4G global roaming in UK, Romania, Spain and Netherlands. The 4G roll-out will continue to major metros like Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, to be launched by March 2016. It is highly unlikely that end users will be receiving this ultra high speed when the network is widely available in Delhi and NCR.
