Voice Contestant Christina Grimmie Shot and Killed at Orlando Concert

During her Miami concert Saturday night, Gomez broke down in tears paying tribute to Grimmie, who was killed Friday night after she was shot while signing autographs for fans at a Orlando, Florida. Loibl did not appear to know Grimmie personally, and police believe he went to the concert specifically to attack her.

“But above all…she was my baby sister”.

“She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn’t survive the gunshot wounds”.

According to Us Weekly, Selena – who was named for the Tejano star shot dead by a fan/business associate in 1995 – took to Twitter to air her grief over Grimmie’s senseless slaying.

Christina Grimmie’s brother, Marcus, has been sharing photos and sweet messages about her following her death.

“But please, if you are reading this far, I would love all and any of you to post pics of you and her and/or memories you have of her down in the comments”, he shared.

Elyse Bishop posted: “I would get so excited when she would release new music”. She was intent on finding success on her own terms, writing songs that expressed her interests, “not just dancing and getting drunk and blah-blah-blah”, as she told Entertainment Weekly.

She stayed on afterwards to sign autographs for fans when the attacker – who was carrying two handguns, two loaded magazines and a hunting knife – approached her and opened fire.

Though the venue doesn’t have metal detectors or require pat downs, Mina said security officers checked bags and purses at the facility’s entrance. “I really don’t have much to say about anything and am just blown away with the prayers and support”, he wrote.
