Volvo XC90 R-Design is now available in the United Kingdom where it is priced from £49,785.

Both front sport orientated seats are powered with memory positioning, there are sports pedals, black headlining adorns the roof and there is an upgraded interior lighting pack. The new model is created to give the seven-seater “a sporty makeover”, according to the Swedish manufacturer.

The black mesh front grille, silver-effect side mirrors, tinted rear windows and 20-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels distinguish the premium SUV in this trim.

Sporting a shining red paint scheme, the XC90 R-Design comes with a host of features which includes 12.3-inch active TFT screen for driver’s information display along with leather covered sports seats and steering wheel. There’s even an exclusive R-Design leather-clad remote key fob.

Also standard – as this is a sporty XC-90 – are Drive Mode settings and Adjustable Steering Force so you can choose the settings for the engine, gearbox, steering and, if you’ve specced it, the air suspension, to suit how you’re driving.

All these goodies are on top of the XC90 Momentum that gets standard LED headlights, power-operated tailgate, two-zone automatic climate control system, and a 9-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system. “Its sportier looks certainly make it stand out on the road, and its extra equipment ensures that the interior is as luxurious as it is stunning”.
