Von Pearson: WR Pearson reinstated to Tennessee
Pearson had been suspended from the team and university since April 24, the day he was accused of sexual assault.

The Knox County District Attorney General’s Office cleared Pearson on Wednesday, when it announced there was insufficient to move forward with prosecution against Pearson, who was never charged or arrested in connection with the incident.
The Vols officially announced on Friday that they would reinstate Pearson to the team. It’s unclear if the 2014 second-leading receiver will face any internal discipline. As long as Pearson enrolls in the fall semester, he will be with the Volunteers for their opening game at Nissan Field against Bowling Green on September 5th. Before tomorrow, we’ll have many more conversations. The 6-foot-3, 187-pound Pearson hauled in 38 receptions for 393 yards, with a team-high five receiving touchdowns in 2014.
