“Vote your conscience:” Ted Cruz fails to endorse Donald Trump
Former Republican presidential nominee Ted Cruz has failed to endorse Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention.

Cruz didn’t tell the convention crowd that he plans to vote for Trump.
“If you love our country and love our children as much as I know you do, vote for candidates who you trust to defend our freedom and be faithful to our constitution”. Just as Cruz was telling the crowd the GOP had its nominee, Trump’s plane flew overhead as some in the crowd booed.
Here’s a smattering of the reaction to the Cruz boos from some of Georgia’s 76 delegates. After his showy, WWE-style entrance Monday and video message Tuesday, many questioned if the nominee would make another expected appearance on Wednesday.
The fallout was intense.
The scene was so ugly that security whisked Cruz’s wife, Heidi, out of the room as the crowd got riled up, CNN reported. The senator was barred from the executive suite occupied by billionaire financier Sheldon Adelson.
The hard feelings, and memories of Trump’s scathing insults about Cruz and his family, still linger.
Meredith McIver said Trump refused her offer to resign. The Texas Senator immediately pivoted to talk about the Dallas police shootings. “Donald Trump apparently doesn’t even believe in the free world”, Sullivan said alleging that over the course of this campaign, Trump has displayed a freakish and occasionally obsequious fascination with Russia’s strongman, Vladimir Putin.
“I think you misunderstood one paragraph that Ted Cruz – who is a superb orator – said”, Gingrich said. The campaign saw his remarks ahead of time and still wanted him to speak. “No big deal!” Trump tweeted.
He put the presidential election firmly in the context of social unrest across the United States, lamenting how “partisan rancor, anger, even hatred, are tearing America apart”.
But Trump supporters began booing towards the end of the speech, since Cruz did not endorse Trump, and from there things went off the rails for Cruz.
Cruz, his party’s runner-up, uttered Trump’s name just once – to congratulate him – and instead pitched the ideological brand of conservatism that endears him to the GOP’s base.
Pence says in his speech at the party’s convention that Republicans will retake the presidency in November because they’re being honest with Americans about the stakes in the election – and the choice facing voters.
Pence says Trump has gone about as far as one can go in business, but has never turned his back on American workers.
Pence addressed the huge differences in his style and Trump’s.
Most of the speakers at the RNC have chosen to make a case against Hillary Clinton rather than praise Trump.
Many Republican pundits believe Mr Pence’s brand of evangelical Christian conservatism serves as a counterbalance to Mr Trump’s brash demeanour and lack of political experience.
“You have nominated a man for president who never quits, who never backs down, a fighter, a victor”. You know it. You know why he won it? As a member of the Pence family, she has seen him away from the spotlight, but she said he is exactly the person you see him to be on television. “She tells us that this economy is the best we can do”.

Even as the political world was trying to digest the events of Wednesday, Trump detonated yet another controversy during an interview with The New York Times.
