Voter Turned Away From Colorado Caucus for Being One Minute Late
Becky emailed us this question: “Do I have to vote in my county or can I vote at any location?” Candidates who did not show as well on Super Tuesday hope they can use that day to turn their campaigns around.

Colorado Republicans and Democrats are getting ready for the caucuses Tuesday.
“We had some people who were sad to find out there wasn’t a binding straw poll”, says Joy Hoffman, who chairs the Arapahoe County GOP.
In an effort to attract more Republicans, the party has made a change in this year’s caucuses. “Athletes & ticket holders will also have to choose between a sporting event & an opportunity to participate in a very important part of a democratic political process”. Because the primary calendar is spread out, it’s totally plausible that Clinton could come out to an early lead as her stronger states vote early – then watch it evaporate as pro-Sanders states turned out to the polls later.
“People are not only choosing the future of the country, they are also defining the Republican Party going forward”, he said.
The Democratic superdelegates are Party Chairman Rick Palacio, First Vice-chairwoman Beverly Ryken; DNC members Anthony Graves, Lisa Padilla, Mannie Rodriquez; and Roy Romer, a past DNC chairman and former governor.
Katie Aggeler said she has attended every caucus she could. “What better time than now to work on perfecting the system?” And as to why Nebraska Democrats chose to caucus in March, as opposed to holding a simpler and much more commonly-used primary style election in May, Powers chalked up the decision to relevance. Caucuses in Colorado are open only to registered party members.
The Kansas Republican Party will host a caucus on Saturday, including at the Westin Hotel in St. Louis, for thousands of Wichita State Shocker fans who will be here to root on the top-seeded Wichita State Shocker Men’s basketball team in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament. I have not heard back from the party confirming my pre-registration or telling me what to do. If no candidate receives 50 percent of the vote, each candidate who receives more than 10 percent of the vote will be awarded delegates proportionally.
The unaffiliated represent about one-third of registered voters in Colorado, thus excluding a large percentage of the population in the succession of stages that brings forth candidates and issues. “There are a fair number of people who are not happy with the status quo, they are ready for a change….”
It’s too late to switch parties.
The Presidential one and the one for all other state offices in June, but that would cost more money. If you didn’t, don’t worry, you still get to participate. They are an activity run by the political parties themselves, and both major parties have their own unique rules to govern them. If you are a Republican or Green Independent, the deadline for you to enroll as a Democrat and participate in Sunday’s caucus has passed. “And that’s how a majority of states do it”.

The Nebraska Democratic Party is expecting more than 50,000 attendees at 149 precincts to participate in the state’s second presidential caucus in history on Saturday. “I’m really disappointed we’re not voting”. “And we’re used to that even with mail-in ballots for the election”.
