Voters fret Trump or Clinton in the White House
Real-estate mogul Donald Trump has opened up his lead among Republican primary voters to almost 20 points, according to a new New York Times/CBS poll out Thursday. Ted Cruz (16 percent) has moved into second place, while Ben Carson, who led the October poll, has dropped to third.

Trump takes a third of the vote-33.4 percent-when former Gov. Jeb Bush, R-Fla., is the Republican candidate. The Monmouth University poll was only 12/3 through 12/6, so that could be a factor. The difference between the two seems to stem primarily from sampling. A 54 percent majority of Democratic primary voters said they had made up their minds about who they will support, while 64 percent of Republicans say it is still too early to be sure. The ink was barely dry on headlines that declared Cruz the Iowa Caucus front runner when another poll was released that disputed that. The Monmouth survey primarily relied on registered voters in Iowa with a history of participating in primary elections at the state level, according to CNN.
Of the 828 Republican voters who answered the most recent Winthrop Poll, 24 percent said Trump would be their choice. “It is worth noting that 1 in 5 evangelicals remain undecided”. While Mr Carson’s support was cut in half since the last time The Times and CBS News polled on the race in late October, Mr Cruz has quadrupled his share. Cruz, in 2nd position, gained 9 points.
Cruz responded to one reporter when asked if he thought that Donald Trump would target him now that he had pulled into the lead in Iowa. Although Carson’s popularity has declined, he’s still in fourth place with 13 percent.
As he continued to make his pitch to Iowa voters, Carson, the onetime front-runner in the state, did his best to counter that perception.
Trump’s policy proposal has drawn global criticism amid worries it violates the religious liberty of the world’s Muslims. Bernie Sanders, 54% to 36%. John McCain and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Trump leads among both men and women. Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton said, “obviously Trump went too far”. 6 and questioned 552 Iowan who were determined to be likely to go to the Republican caucuses. “The thing that unites Republicans more than divides them is …”
Terrorism and national security, the main topics? Carly Fiorina has also lost support, and is now at 1-percent. “I don’t believe either one of them is going to be our president”.
