Voters wonder if Ted Cruz can heal Washington’s bitter divisions
Ted Cruz, R-Texas, says Republicans waging a “war on women” is just “made up nonsense”. The advertisement attacked Cruz for supporting the USA Freedom Act, which limited the government’s collection of phone data. The New York Times reported Tuesday that the party is starting to become concerned that Trump could doom the GOP’s down-ballot candidates if he were to win the primary contest. “He’s afraid to debate, ‘” Trump said. “They may not be, and I understand that, and I’m OK with that”. While he thinks Donald Trump has pushed the conversation to topics that matter to Republicans, there’s no way he’d vote for the real estate mogul.

“[It] has overwhelming support of the American people”, said Frazier.
But for now he is in a free fall after scoring 23 percent in last month’s Quinnipiac poll.
“Rubio hasn’t been as strong as in previous weeks, but most of this is proving to be an advantage for Ted Cruz”, said Carroll University’s Lilly Goren. And we’ve been very supportive each other. “But I err on the side of security”.
Earlier in the day, Trump held a Manhattan meeting in Trump Tower with about 100 black evangelical pastors. He said he planned to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a trip to Israel “sometime after Christmas, probably”.
“He’s just an honest, Christian man. That’s what I really appreciate about him”, says Mardell Cory of Waukee. Trump’s campaign team is also yet to share any more information about his trip.
Trump said he was a “big, big fan” of Israel. In a tweet, Trump called Kasich a “dummy” and “one of the worst presidential candidates in history”. “You certainly can’t run on foreign policy because every country you touched as secretary of state is a disaster”. You know, it’s a very interesting issue.
Trump evaded specific questions about whether Palestinian demands in peace negotiations are legitimate and whether Israel should be allowed to build settlements in the West Bank without restrictions, though he said the Israeli housing projects were a “huge sticking point” in talks.
Donald Trump still dominates the Republican race, but Rubio and Cruz are in a dead heat for second. As I noted, Heidi and I have two little girls. The U.S. does not now recognize the Palestinian territories as an independent state, though the U.N. General Assembly overwhelmingly voted in 2012 to recognize Palestine as a “non-member observer state”.
“So we’re not even going to go there”, Kasich said.
For decades, a cornerstone of Republican foreign policy has been unyielding support for Israel. In September, they even joined forces at a rally opposing the Iran nuclear deal on Capitol Hill.
Trump was among 14 presidential candidates speaking at Thursday’s forum hosted by the Republican Jewish Coalition, an influential group and aggressive supporter of Israel. The coalition is financially backed by Jewish billionaire casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, a key Netanyahu supporter.
