VP Joe Biden to Speak Next Week at Syracuse University
Biden drew applause during his speech to the National League of Cities in Nashville for observing that federal money flowing through state capitols tends to get diverted toward the interests of governors and individual lawmakers.

According to the White House, Biden will speak about preventing sexual assault on campus as part of the “It’s On Us” Week of Action.
Jill Biden sat down with Seth Meyers, and promoted the latest initiative from the White House to make two years of community college free – with Jill speaking on the importance of making education accessible as a community college professor herself. College Humor has expressed support for the It’s on Us campaign since it’s founding in 2014, saying that “it’s crucial for all of us to step up and be a part of the solution”, particularly because the problem “effects much of our fanbase”. He will follow that visit up with addresses at Clemson University in Clemson, S.C. and Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga.
Joe Biden announced last month that he will not run for president in 2016.
Biden has been a longtime, outspoken advocate for sexual assault survivors.

The Association of American Universities and The Washington Post/Keiser Family Foundation both released polls earlier this year backing up past statistics that indicate one in every five women will experience sexual assault during four years at college.
