VP nominee Kaine attacks Trump in DNC speech
“I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised by the range and depth of his progressive credentials”, said Rep. Peter Welch, a Democrat from Vermont who backed Sanders.

“Can I be honest with you about something?”
“He says ‘believe me.’ Well, his creditors, his contractors, his laid-off employees, his ripped-off students did just that”, he continued.
In the ticket’s debut on Saturday in Miami, Kaine previewed the frame he’ll use to define Trump, saying he would amount to a “you’re fired”, “me-first” and “trash talker” president.
“I was born in Minnesota and grew up in Kansas City”. “My parents, Al and Kathy, here tonight and going strong, taught me about hard work, and about kindness, and, most especially, about faith”.
“Aprendí los valores del pueblo – fe, y familia, y trabajo”.
Kaine’s second objective was to appeal to the progressive wing of the party that was rooting for a more liberal pick for vice president, such as Sen. We share this belief: do all the good you can.
But while Pence spent part of Wednesday trying, without much success, to rein in his running mate’s call for Russian Federation to hack Hillary Clinton’s email, Kaine spent it quietly turning the knife on Trump.
“Retirees and families in Florida believed Donald Trump when he said he’d build them condos”, Kaine said.
‘When you want to know something about the character of somebody in public life, look to see if they have a passion that began long before they were in office and that they have consistently held it throughout their career.
But Kaine’s long-time friend and fellow senator Mark Warner said Tuesday that his fellow Virginian’s tone and tenor make him the ideal antidote to GOP nominee Donald Trump – something that Warner believes will be on display in his speech. “Do you believe he ought to release those tax returns like every other presidential candidate in modern history?”
Though it was a mostly low-key speech, Kaine did have the crowd chanting when he asked them if they believed Trump.
And he offered a series of tough attacks on Trump, offering an impression of the NY millionaire before mocking him as a “slick-talking, empty-promising, self-promoting one-man wrecking crew”.

To close, Kaine returned to his time in Honduras, saying the best compliment you could give anyone there is that they’re “listo”, or “ready”.
