VW stock to be removed from Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes

Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) said it was named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World and North American Indices for the 13th consecutive year, recognizing the company´s long-standing commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

DJSI is a leading global indicator tracking the financial performance of companies across all industries that outperform on Sustainability. The stock will be pulled after the close of trading October 5 from the DJSI World, DJSI Europe and all other related indexes, according to the statement.

The Dow Jones Sustainability North America Index list was launched in 1999 to track financial performance of sustainability-driven companies worldwide in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria. “Over the past 10 years revenues rose more than 50%, we grew by more than 110,000 people and strengthened our worldwide presence, while remaining the industry leader with respect to our economic, social and environmental achievements”.
