Wade intensifying talks with NY, Bucks

Considering that Wade’s last offer from the Heat was reportedly around million per year, this is most likely just Wade trying to get the Heat to up their offer a little bit.

The organization is very good at preaching about family and it’s time they start practicing what they preach by not taking Wade for granted and taking care of one of their own. According to multiple reports, Wade has received a couple of offers from other teams and there is a possibility that he will go to the Chicago Bulls this summer.

Re-upping with Wade, 34, clearly was not the Heat’s top offseason priority, perhaps because they figured they could circle back to him eventually. It may happen, as the shooting guard has failed to reach an agreement with the Heat, the team he had played for every season since he was drafted in 2003.

Dwyane Wade could set free agent meetings with the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks early next week if his situation with the Miami Heat is still in a holding pattern, per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

We’ve been down this road before with Wade, in 2010 and 2015.

Wojnarowski said the four teams’ recruitments included “offers in length of two and three years and upward of $20 million a season – a salary the Heat so far have been reluctant to offer”.

The Nuggets and Bulls have been among the most aggressive pursuers of Wade, league sources said.

Wade had an excellent season for the Heat, averaging 23.7 points and leading a depleted roster into a Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals. Evan Turner was also mentioned but he has already signed a massive four-year, $70 million deal with the Portland Trail Blazers. For that kind of franchise player, for a victor like him!

The Bulls pursuit of Wade seemingly indicates that the front office is not clear on the direction that they want to take the team. Recalling in the past years, Dwyane Wade sacrificed his salary and took pay cuts in order to help the Miami Heat manage their salary cap.
