He expressed interest in a fight with former UFC champ Frankie Edgar, but “The Answer” was booked against Chad Mendes at The Ultimate Fighter 22 Finale on December 11. Despite no official confirmation from the UFC just yet, bout agreements are expected to be signed shortly according to sources close to the situation. Prior to this win, Saenz kicked off his UFC career with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Nolan Ticman and Iuri Alcântara.

Faber is 2-2 across his last four fights.

The Notorious now has Jeremy Stephens and Max Holloway for company on the UFC 194 fight card. “The California Kid” has won five of his past seven bouts.

Holloway, who’s ranked No. 7 in the NOS Energy Drink MMA featherweight rankings, is fresh off a victory over Charles Oliveira in his first UFC main event, which came at UFC Fight Night 74.

Holloway (14-3) will enter this bout looking to improve on his career best seven fight streak, which includes six stoppages and three post fight bonuses.

UFC 194 is now set to take place on December 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Stephens (24-11) rebounded from tough losses to Swanson and Oliveira with a thrilling 3rd round TKO of Bermudez at UFC 189 in July.

UFC 194 is being headlined by the long-awaited, and highly-anticipated featherweight title matchup between reigning 145-pound kingpin Jose Aldo, and interim champion the “Notorious” Conor McGregor.
