Wal-Mart: Coke display stacked like twin towers removed
A printed sign hung above the display advertising Walmart’s rollback prices for the soft drinks. In memory of the tragic day, a Walmart store in Florida created a display of Coke boxes in the form of the Twin Towers in front of the colors of the USA flag, and a lot of people have raised hell about the image on Twitter.

Walmart is under fire for a 9/11-themed soda display set up under a banner saying “We Will Never Forget”, in Panama City Beach, Florida. Walmart apparently attempted to create a display of remembrance, but instead created the tasteless display of Coca-Cola products you see in the photo above.
Twitter user Shawn Richard Tweeted a picture of the display, which presented Coke Zero in place of Ground Zero and spurred thousands of angry retweets about the beverage company’s marketing ploy.
UPDATE: Charles Crowson, a spokesman for Walmart, told Orlando Weekly that the 9/11 display, which was located inside a Panama City Walmart, is now being taken down.

We reached out to both Coca-Cola’s corporate media office for comment on the display but have not heard back. “It was removed from our Florida store Wednesday”. “So we took some pics and went on our way”. We’ll share their thoughts on NewsChannel 7 and 5 and 6 p.m.
