Wales manager Chris Coleman hits back at Arsene Wenger’s ‘cheap shot’ over
Ramsey suffered a hamstring injury playing for Arsenal against Bayern Munich the following week and is not expected to return to action until after the November worldwide break.

Former Wales defender Danny Gabbidon has suggested that Chris Coleman should experiment with his team selection in the absence of Bale for their upcoming friendly against the Netherlands next Friday.
Wales squad: Hennessey (Crystal Palace), Fon Williams (Inverness), Ward (Liverpool); A Williams (Swansea, capt), Chester (West Brom), Gunter (Reading), Taylor (Swansea), Davies (Tottenham), Collins (West Ham), Henley (Blackburn), Dummett (Newcastle), Vaughan (Nottingham Forest), Huws (Wigan), Allen (Liverpool), Ledley (Crystal Palace), King (Leicester), Edwards (Wolves), J Williams (Crystal Palace), Cotterill (Birmingham), Lawrence (Leicester), Church (MK Dons), Vokes (Burnley), Bradshaw (Walsall).
He had played for Wales in their Euro 2016 qualifying matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina on 10 October and Andorra on 13 October. Wenger blamed Coleman for the injury, but the Wales gaffer has faced Wenger.
“I never got that phone call, nothing. Realistically, the real breather he could have had was against Andorra”.
“I hope there is no problem in the future over Aaron (being available), but I am not here to let people blame us for something that is not our fault”, Coleman said. I’ll drive to Arsenal’s training ground or to his office.
“If I’ve got it wrong I’ll gladly hold my hands up”.
United are prepared to enter into negotiations with Bale’s representatives over a proposed move which would include David de Gea moving the other way, after the Spanish goalkeeper’s move to Madrid collapsed on deadline day in September. If I or my medical staff get no correspondence from a club, that is a green light to play the player.
“After correspondence with Madrid, he’ll probably figure in the next game for them I’d imagine, but they want to use this time wisely and carefully to get him up to scratch, and we respect that”.
“Call me up and say to me “be careful with Aaron” and that’s exactly what I would have done”.
While Arsenal’s form has been superb as of late, Ramsey’s injury has left the team with little depth.
Ramsey remains sidelined along with the likes of Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlaide Chamberlain and Hector Bellerin for tonight’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.
The Wales boss revealed that Arsenal didn’t contact him over any concerns about Ramsey’s fitness, so he is definitely not at fault in selecting the midfielder. After 70 minutes against Watford they’re 3-0 up so why not take him off? “Rest him. He (Wenger) still had two substitutions he could have made – I was watching the game”, added Coleman.
‘We sent Aaron back fit because he played against Watford for 90 minutes, ‘ Coleman said defiantly.
‘He had a scan today but he’s out, ‘ Wenger told the Arsenal website after the 2-0 victory.
“It was his mistake, not mine and not my medical team’s”.
