Walker’s one piece of advice for Donald Trump

New polls that suggest Hillary Clinton has built a significant lead over Donald Trump in the wake of the Democratic convention are being viewed with skepticism by both the campaign and some key Clinton supporters.

Clinton, at a forum sponsored by the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, called her rival “virulently anti-immigrant”.

The Donald Trump show has been playing a back-to-back marathon all week, and to a great degree it has been to Hillary Clinton’s benefit. That puts her among the 54 percent of young adults – including 61 percent of Asian-Americans, 57 percent of African-Americans and 52 percent of Latinos and whites – who say laws limiting gun ownership do not infringe on the public’s right to bear arms.

Madonna, at first, wondered if his results were an outlier – but Fox News released a Wednesday poll with Clinton up by 10; two weeks ago CNN had her leading 9, and NBC by 8. Trump has no serious plans, and agree with Clinton’s plans or not, she at least has something to present that makes sense. So will Trump. That’s no surprise, as a win there plus victories in every state (and the District of Columbia) that have voted Democratic since 1992 would give Clinton a winning total of 271 electoral votes. Recent days have seen Trump ramping up on the insults against Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, even referring to her as “the devil”. The poll surveyed a random sample of 661 registered voters with a margin of error of +/- 4.8 points, and 389 likely voters with a margin of error of +/- 6.3 points. This shows an increase of one percent to her numbers, which last month was 46 percent, and a decrease to Trump’s total which was 41 percent.

Clinton is ahead of Trump by 9 points, 41% to 32%, among likely MI voters, according to a Detroit news/WDIV-TV poll.

The added option of third-party candidates Jill Stein and Gary Johnson had little effect on the head-to-head spreads. After the conventions finished, Clinton gained four points, nearly doubling her five point lead. This past week, for example, Trump spent a day in Portland, Maine, chasing after the single electoral vote at stake along the state’s largely Democratic southern coast.

I think that all RCC trustees, as well as all county Republican officials, need to repudiate Miller firmly and publicly.

Campaign chairman Paul Manafort insisted Trump would work with Ryan if elected, but he conceded the endorsement question had sparked tension inside Trump’s NY campaign headquarters.

Rather than representing a glass cliff, this change in the political landscape can be used as a launching pad for women in power, Dana Brown, political science professor at Chatham University and executive director of the Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics said. “She probably wasn’t allowed to have anything to say”.

USA voters are more accepting of differences on the issues because that is a legitimate part of electoral discourse.

Here’s why: majorities think Clinton is nevertheless qualified to be president, and has the temperament and knowledge to serve effectively.
