Walking Dead: Creator says people will die when show returns
Rick and the rest of the Alexandrians have found themselves in some pretty dire straits, but Season 6 is only halfway finished. Friends, in all seriousness, episode nine is one of the biggest episode we have done. And considering “The Walking Dead” showrunners plan the show’s storylines in eight-episode blocks, things should quickly move in a new direction.

Echoing Gimple’s sentiments, Kirkman also added with a gleeful laugh, “So many people die”. He’s not insane. But he is driven and he is very much a character totally unique to the landscape of the walking dead that we’ve seen thus far. Jessie, who is holding hands with Sam will try to save him; although, it’s too late and she will start to be pulled in to the heard. Ron will reportedly draw his gun and Carl will step in front of it. Ron will shoot Carl’s eye out and then someone, possibly Michonne, will kill Ron.
Just don’t expect the midseason premiere to be the “light-hearted” episode. Carol and Morgan will have to finish their battle.
The two-minute clip, which aired after the mid-season finale titled Start To Finish, showed Negan’s biker gang The Saviours as they confront Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Sergeant Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha Williams (Sonequa Martin-Green) near Alexandria.
Fans of The Walking Dead comic book will delight at the mere mention of Negan, one of the series’ major villains. Comics fans know him well, but for the uninitiated, it boils down to this: Negan leads with violence, and instills fear in those around him.
Lincoln, who plays the role of the former sheriff and the current pack leader in “The Walking Dead”, said that fans should look forward to “The Walking Dead” Season 6B.

Kirkman also shared that he introduced Negan in the 100th issue of the “Walking Dead” comic because he felt that a 100th issue is a natural place for people to stop reading, so he wanted to prove that the series was still doing interesting, shocking things – and he believes Negan’s introduction into the world of the show will serve the same objective. And though the AMC apocalyptic drama went on its winter hiatus after the Sunday, Nov. 29, episode, Negan will be waiting when The Walking Dead returns in February.
