Wall Street Journal calls for GOP to write off Trump campaign

“Donald Trump proposed an ideological “test” to ensure that potential immigrants support American values”.

Siena’s Steve Greenberg said it’s getting late for that to turn around.

The Republican nominee for president spent much of his speech attacking President Barack Obama and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

“That’s a long streak”, said Greenberg.

The foreign policy speech is a complement to the economy speech that Trump gave last week, aides said, describing them as twin pillars of the candidate’s policy agenda. “In 2012, the exit polls by Pew showed only 5 percent of the voters. I believe she’ll have great numbers coming out of NY”.

Just hours before Donald Trump will present his plan on foreign policy and how to deal with the Islamic State, the Clinton campaign is out with an ad knocking him on those topics.

“Donald Trump has been in the news a lot over these past few weeks”, Greenberg said.

“New York state is an overwhelmingly Democratic state”, Jacobs says.

Priorities decided earlier this month to go dark in certain markets in Virginia and Colorado, but said at the time that they would go back on the air on August 16. “This is as real as it gets”. The most recent past Senate Republican leader, Dean Skelos, also has received a prison sentence.

Trump’s tiff with the media has been an ongoing issue throughout his presidential campaign.

Beyond his immigration ban, Trump has also been criticized for suggesting that President Barack Obama is linked to radical Islamic terrorism, floating surveillance of U.S. mosques and proclaiming that he believes “Islam hates us”.

Siena’s Greenberg said even with the vast lead of Clinton in the presidential race, voters in NY have a long tradition of splitting the ticket when it comes to their local lawmakers.

“I think he can still win and will have a very good chance of winning”, Sessions said.

Clinton spent Monday campaigning with Vice President Joe Biden in Scranton, Pennsylvania, a working class area where both have family ties.

But no Republican has won NY since 1984, and Nassau Democratic Chairman Jay Jacobs says that won’t change. “American values include the right to hold unpopular or non-majority opinions”, said Robert McCaw, the director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), in a statement. The real-estate tycoon has expressed deeply negative views of alliances and USA security commitments overseas, seeing them as a cumbersome burden sucking up taxpayer dollars.

However, Trump says under Obama and Clinton’s foreign policy Libya is now in ruins, ISIS has gained territory, Syria is in a civil war, and a refugee crisis is plaguing Europe and the west.

Senator Mike Gianaris, the Democrat’s chief campaign strategist, also speaking at the convention, said Democrats welcome Cuomo’s support, but he says he’s most heartened by Clinton’s increasing strength at the top of the 2016 ticket.

Trump claimed Monday – he’s also done it before – that one of the San Bernardino shooters’ neighbors “saw suspicious behavior, bombs on the floor and other things, but didn’t warn authorities because they said they didn’t want to be accused of racial profiling”.
