Wallenda in Wisconsin to attempt his longest tightrope walk
Meanwhile, he’s likely already brainstorming his next record-breaking feat.

Nik Wallenda has successfully completed the longest high walk ever at a Wisconsin fair. The Associated Press reported August 11, that Wallenda, 36, crossed a 1,576 foot wire at the Wisconsin State Fair in West Alles, Wisconsin.
Karl Wallenda walked across County Stadium – even doing a handstand on the high wire.
Wallenda is part of the seventh generation of the famed Flying Wallenda family of acrobats.
His family will be there, looking on, including his mother.
The last Wallenda to perform in the Milwaukee area was Karl Wallenda, Nik’s great-grandfather, in July of 1974.
Hundreds of fans lined up after his walk, and he signed every autograph.
So this is Wallenda’s longest tightrope walk, but it’s not the highest, nor the most breath-taking. He has conquered Niagara Falls, the Grand Canyon and walking between two skyscrapers in downtown Chicago. He’s walked across a ferris wheel, too.
Wallenda took 33 minutes to walk 1,560 feet (475 m) on a wire no wider than a U.S. nickel 10 stories above the racetrack near the state fair grounds.

Wallenda said he hopes his daredevil stunts inspire people not to be afraid to take risks with their lives.
