Walmart Announces Black Friday Shopping Deals, Information

Walmart is kicking off its Black Friday deals at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, no change from past year. Today, a leaked copy of Walmart’s Black Friday circular has leaked, revealing a few of the deals that the discounter will be offering on mobile devices.

Due to this overwhelming power, they also define when, how, and where American shoppers will be forced to go for the best deals. Target will also discount video games for Black Friday.

It’s also worth noting the Walmart Facebook page can be followed here, as considering this message landed on there first it would be a good page to follow to see the Walmart Black Friday 2015 deals when they arrive. A number of retailers like Walmart and Target have already begun their pre-Black Friday sales for early bird buyers.

“The retailers that are opening (on Thanksgiving Day) are just trying to get a leg up on everybody else”, said Bob Wordes, chief operating officer of The Shopping Center Group.

Catering to those who just can’t wait for Black Friday deals, retailers Macy’s, Target, Toys “R” Us and others will open on Thanksgiving Day in 2015.

But Black Friday sales have continued to shrink as a percentage of total holiday sales, according to research from AlixPartners LLP, a consulting firm.

The deals can be perused on Walmart’s official app – a neat way to force bargain hunters into a download – and start at 6PM on Thanksgiving day. “We will continue to focus on our commitment to invest $2.7 billion over this year and next in wages, education and training for our associates”.

Closed on Thanksgiving. Opens at 6 A.M. on November 27th, Black Friday. Online buyers will receive free shipping with no minimum purchase required and be able to receive their purchase by mail or pick it up at their local Best Buy store.

So what does Wal-Mart think are its best deals? They don’t want to be share too early and miss the excitement, but they don’t want to share too late or they risk getting lost in the noise.

Wal-Mart’s online sale is set to start at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time on Thanksgiving, and executives said they’ll be using data from those early Web site visits and transactions to shape in-store displays and merchandising later that day.

The shift reflects an increasingly delicate balance many retailers are navigating around the holidays – how to give shoppers the feeling that they should buy quickly to grab deals, while also offering enticing promotions anytime a customer happens to shop in a store or online for gifts.
