There are 69 Walmarts in Minnesota to get the snack during the three month exclusivity period, but if you want the real deal and skip the cooking process, Spaghetti Eddie’s will have their own deep fried Twinkies with toppings at the Minnesota State Fair.

The Deep Fried Twinkies will be exclusively sold at Walmart for three months starting August 16, before being available at other stores, Walmart announced in a company blog post.

HOME PREPARATION: Pull it out of the freezer and bake it for six to eight minutes in the oven at 350 degrees.

To achieve that state-fair taste, you’ll need to finish off the treat in a frying pan or oven before digging in.

The treats arrived at select stores Thursday, and they will arrive nationwide Tuesday. “We’ve seen the rise in popularity of deep-fried Twinkies on dessert menus across the country as well”, Hostess VP of marketing Ellen Copaken told the AP.

The estimated nutrition content of a single Deep Fried Twinkie (220 calories, 9 grams of fat) is almost equal to a two-pack of regular Twinkies (270 calories, 9 grams of fat).

WORKING IT OFF: A person who weighs about 150 pounds would need to run for 20 minutes at 10 miles per hour, take a 40-minute spin class or do a 50-minute bike ride, says Amy Gorin, a Jersey City, New Jersey-based registered dietitian-nutritionist.

They will be available in two flavors – original and chocolate – and cost $4.76 for a box of seven.
