Walter Palmer’s dental practice resumes business in his absence

Honest Ndlovu, proprietor of Antoinette Farm, was not asked to plead when he appeared before the magistrate’s court in the resort town of Hwange on Tuesday.

His lawyer Tonderai Mukuku said Ndlovu denies the charge and was set free on $200 bail.

The dentist, who infamously shot Cecil the Lion last month in Zimbabwe, has been out of the public eye ever since worldwide condemnation across the Internet and elsewhere pointed at him for his questionable hunting practices. He will return to court on September 18.

The killing of Cecil, a 13-year-old, rare, black-maned lion and a popular tourist attraction, caused global consternation and triggered a major backlash against Africa’s multi-million dollar hunting industry.

Prosecutors said charges have not been filed against Palmer, who has reopened his practice in Minnesota.

Dr. Walter Palmer is hanging out his dental office shingle again, but he won’t be drilling anytime soon.

Palmer’s River Bluff Dental was open for business on Monday, but Palmer was a no-show. “Our employees have no comment”.
