Want To Know How Well The Xbox One Is Doing? Ask EA
It’ll be the first game the dev has released for consoles since Dreamfall: The Longest Journey back in 2006, and follows the game’s release for PC past year.

As always, we’ll be sure to let you know about all of the updates that Microsoft releases for the Xbox One in the near future.
Despite Xbox head Phil Spencer saying in an interview that he wasn’t a fan of the idea of an Xbox One and a half, it does seem like Microsoft is up to something. A new wireless chip could be just a small part of the optional hardware upgrades to the Xbox One that Microsoft is planning. That’s a question that will only become more pressing as word gets out that both Sony and Microsoft are testing out new consoles to rival the power of PC gaming.
However, there’s also the possibility that he’s including the “PlayStation 4.5” in that statement, a rumored upgrade to the PlayStation 4 with better virtual reality capabilities in mind to go along with the launch of the PlayStation VR hardware.
According to documents obtained by GiantBomb, Sony is positioning strict guidelines for NEO development to ensure current PS4 owners aren’t left behind.
The upgrades could offer a break for Microsoft, who have been criticised for their console’s performance often not being able to sustain a 1080p resolution.
In what we can only assume was a slight slip of the tongue, Blake Jorgensen, EA’s CFO, told investors during the company’s third-quarter earnings call that the combined lifetime sales of the Xbox One and Playstation 4 was about 55m units. An upgraded console may help to level the playing field. In addition to graphics, what else do you think the console needs?

The Verge also notes that Microsoft has a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the United States that expires on June 25th, 12 days after Microsoft’s Xbox press conference at E3 this year.
