Wantaway Newcastle midfielder Moussa Sissoko hoping for Real Madrid move
On Tuesday, ex-Red David Thompson urged Liverpool to sign “fantastic” France worldwide Moussa Sissoko, and amid reports that Liverpool have made an official offer, Sissoko has publicly confirmed that he is available, and determined to sign for a Premier League club. However, Zinedine Zidane is unlikely to have him in his squad if they have to pay that price.

Speaking to the BBC World Service radio station, he said: “I hope Real will come for me, I’m still waiting. For that I need to go somewhere else”. That’s why I said I want to leave this year.
And now he’s decided that he wants to join Champions League winners Real Madrid. Visually it looked fantastic and supporters got behind it too, with many more in the ground at that time than you would have expected normally.
“It’s a very competitive league and I think it’s different to what Benitez has experienced before in terms of the way games are played”.
He added: “I spent three and a half years here”.
As well as welcoming Sissoko back into his squad, Benitez could also give debuts to summer signings Ciaran Clark and Mo Diame.
Benitez has also warned his players ahead of their first home match of the season.
The Frenchman has previously insistedhis future lies away from Rafa Benitez’s side after the club were relegated to the Championship.
“The fans need to understand my situation”.
Meanwhile, the Magpies have confirmed that flop Florian Thauvin will spend the season on loan at former club Marseille before completing a permanent move next summer.

The deal was agreed last week but it has taken until now for the paperwork to be concluded.
