Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide to get free DLC on December 3

Indiana Jones mightn’t have been too fond of rats, but around 300,000 of you were content to put up with them in Warhammer: End Times – Vermintide, as that’s how many copies the co-op rat-slaughtering game has sold in its first two weeks on sale.

To celebrate hitting this figure Fatshark are going to be releasing a free content pack, named Sigmar’s Blessing, on December 3rd.

The DLC, Sigmar’s Blessing, adds an altar structure to the Inn hub, and you can use it to sacrifice loot to “improve your arsenal” somehow.

“We couldn’t be happier to reach 300,000 sales of Vermintide so far and the player reception and feedback, has left us humbled more than anything”, said Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark. Sigmar’s Blessing will be free but there will be paid DLC as well in the future. There’s also a new “red” loot class, while loot in general is getting a few new traits. Unlike the helmets, which are purely cosmetic, these upcoming weapons will also feature a set of traits, so there’s even more reason to grind the higher difficulties and try to get these items. There’s a Private mode in the works, a HUD-less Realism mode (that will be hard), and a Survival mode for “endless waves of ever-increasing enemies”.
