Warmer temperatures on the way
Thursday: Another sunny day with a few passing clouds and a high of 68. Temperatures will once again be unseasonably mild with a high of 68 in the city, upper 60s in the suburbs. A ridge builds in the upper levels producing above normal temperatures all week. Expect to see a few breaks in the clouds both Tuesday evening and Wednesday. Areas that see more sun will end up in the low 70s, while the rest will top out in the upper 60s. This will cause an area of low pressure and cold front to form east of the Rockies. By Thursday, we’ll be watching an area of low pressure along ride along the coast.

Partly cloudy skies will develop for tonight, with patchy dense fog possible. Highs will be in the lower 70s. The humidity will be noticeable by Thursday and heat indices may top out in the mid 80s.
I already mentioned today’s chance for an isolated shower in far South Jersey. A 30 percent chance of storms moves into the forecast on Wednesday. Our next frontal system comes through late Friday into Saturday morning.

As we get to the weekend, the reality check comes after a front passes Friday. Afternoon highs will likely remain in the 60s both Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will continue to warm up throughout the week. Saturday night will be nice and dry after the heavy rains Friday.
