Warne spins in to help Rashid
Rashid has been recently called up to the England Test squad for the series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.

“He’s a pretty impressive kid, he’s been on the scene a while now”.
Warne is pleased with the way England have handled Rashid, but is eager to see how Alastair Cook uses the leg-spinner as a part of his bowling attack.
Joe Root believes that Adil Rashid will rise to the occasion in England’s Test series against Pakistan if he earns a place in the team.
“He’s brought a lot to my game”, Rashid said of Gillespie, who was appointed Yorkshire’s coach when the famous county was in dire trouble on and off the field in 2011.
Warne said tickets are already “flying out the door” for the matches which have been given official sanction by the global Cricket Council at a time when the governing body has been heavily criticised for failing to take the sport to new markets.
England have also adopted a positive approach to the game, which has reaped them rich dividends, especially in the 2015 Ashes.
It echoes the mantra long preached by Warne, Australia’s most successful Test bowler and widely regarded as cricket’s greatest leg spinner, that cricketers produce their best when they are not over-burdened with instructions and strategies and can simply enjoy their craft.
Shane Warne expressed his keenness on mentoring England leg-spinner Adil Rashid. To add Warne to the mix would represent quite a coup for England coach and fellow Australian Trevor Bayliss. I think it’s important that we don’t put too much pressure on him and think that the series edges on his shoulders because it’s going to be a real team, collective effort to take on a really strong side in these conditions.
But he appears interested in making an exception in the case of Yorkshire-born Rashid. While Rashid tries to follow in Warne’s footsteps, the great leg-spinner is facing his own huge challenge: persuading Americans to fall in love with cricket.

“I hope he grabs his chance, it would be great to see England have a leg-spinner”.
