We’ll get our first full taste of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder, on March 25, 2016. Two movies with the Argo director will be coming out much later than expected. Now it will arrive on Octobert 7, 2016.
This report is still a completely unconfirmed rumor, but there have been signs that Warner Bros.is putting faith in their collaboration with Affleck, as they recently finalized a deal for him to direct, co-write, and star in the confirmed 2018 standalone film, “The Batman“.
Up next is Live By Night, which was officially greenlit by Warner Bros.in July. As far as Warner’s bosses are concerned, Affleck is considered to be the “definitive Batman” and could be the hub around which the DC movie universe will rotate in future movies.
The Live by Night delay is understandable, as the film begins shooting in November and will simply need more than 11 months to finish.
The two projects taking a backseat are Live by Night and The Accountant.

Would you like to see Ben Affleck’s Batman stick around for three solo films? And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before. Considering the popularity of the Batman character relative to Wonder Woman, Green Lantern or any of the other Justice League members, it sounds completely reasonable, but it would be a major commitment for Affleck.
